Every design begins in front of a real facade. Choose a building and see what it became.

A roof of overlapping ceramic tiles that the city reads as the back of a sleeping dragon.

Casa Milà
Ventilation chimneys standing like helmeted figures on a stone roof.

Casa Vicens
Gaudí is said to have found marigolds on the plot and put them on the walls.

A parabolic hall that rises through the whole house and opens into a dome of light.

Park Güell
A lizard built from broken plates, and a technique that wastes nothing.

The Barcelona Tile
A floor tile designed for a house, now laid along the length of Passeig de Gràcia.

Catedral de Brasília
Sixteen concrete columns curving up and out, holding glass between them.

An observatory sketched in the trenches of the First World War and built as one flowing mass.

Casa Officina
Transforms stone into a universal symbol of love and harmony.

Hollyhock House
A flower abstracted into geometry until it becomes the identity of a house.

Matched pieces priced together.
Architecture, worn close
“My love for silversmithing made the buildings appear to me as sparkling jewellery.”
It began with books, continued through travel, and opened up in Barcelona. Standing in front of Gaudí's work, the line between architecture and sculpture disappeared and the buildings started to read as jewellery.
I treat these pieces as sculptures made for the body. Every sculptor learns the shape they are working with, and wanting to dress that shape is the natural next step. The techniques run from the oldest methods of silversmithing and micro sculpture through to the most modern ones.
Born From Ashes is drawn from the buildings of the 19th and 20th centuries. It is my story, and it carries my name.
